The carnage of that first clash was phenomenal. The momentum threw the pikemen into shrieking disarray, and the vanguard of army fell back before the thundering resolve of the Orden attack. The baleful, pikes and spears took their toll upon the Konnici. But even that didn’t stop the mighty cataphracts which tore gloriously into the foremost rank of pikemen. They continue their sprint as nothing had happened. In their pass hundreds of soldiers lay in the ground trampled beneath the horses’ hooves. The sound of bones cracking smothered beneath the moaning of the pikeman. Caught by leprous swords and spears, men and mounts fell screaming to the dusty earth, where they were mercilessly rent and devoured by the slavering swords of the each other side.

This is another weak audiobook. A group of space marines from various chapters converged in a Deatwatch Kill team in the service of the inquisition are investigating a ship that two years before travelled to a planet that moments later was Exterminatus because a genestealer infestation.

Ok, I don't even know how to rate this book. Nothing happens besides - killing genestealers, run from them (not retreating because that isn't the way of Space Marines) and a sacrifice in the end.
Now - Artemis of the Mortifactors chapter. No development. Why is he revered in other chapters? And Urbino... a renegade Blood Angel who sacrifices himself to save the others as he falls into the Black Rage. So why is he a renegade? This isn't answered. Why did he join the Deathwatch? Again not answer... .

Criticism
1) No character development. Urbino and Artemis (See spoiler)

2) No plot development (Again the spoiler).

3) Audiobook - Price.

Praises
1) I'm afraid it's hard to fine any praise whatsoever. Maybe, and only maybe - the Doom Eagles are mention by the Space Wolves as he tries to find who his Urbino.

Final Thoughts 2/10
Again. Why buy this? Black Library prey on my gullible to buy everything they publish. I have yet to find a book I say "it's weak as hell". But audiobooks... Almost all of them.
