SPOILER ALERT!
Carrie

Being the first novel by King I expected a weaker novel but it wasn't. It was a good solid book about Carrie White, a girl with telekinesis. The novel is told from Carrie perspective and inbetweeen there are excerpts from newspapers, investigations and survivors from the chaos Carrie brought upon the small city.
King developed, not ad nausea as some other bigger books, the characters. Carrie was the main focus but also her mother, the fundamentalist christian as well. He made you enter the small world of Carrie, from the first menstruation, the mocking of her colleagues, the religious wrath of her Mother through the end which ended in blood.
Bullying, sex, Menstruation, mother-daughter relationship, beliefs, coming-of-age and Revenge are topics of this solid novel. I think this novel should be included in his pseudonym Richard Bachman.
